Gonzalez Pump Station 19
Originally designed as a cast-in-place pump station, the terminal Pump Station for the City of Gonzales would have taken over 2 months to form up and install. Gainey’s worked the engineer to convert to precast and was able to save the contractor those two months because it was delivered and set in only 2 days!
Krotz Springs Pump Station
The engineer had originally designed this Stormwater Pump Station as a cast-in-place 25’x x20’ tank, due their plant could not afford to shut down during construction. That is when they contacted Gainey’s to redesign the pump station into two hydraulically linked tanks that maintained their same capacity. Precast saved them a month in downtime!

Willow Glen Power Plant
"This structure was quite large weighing in at close to 145,000lbs, (including lid weight) 38ft long x 8ft wide x over 7ft tall. The top slab and bathtub base units for this structure were so large and heavy an eight(8) point pick had to be designed and properly rigged for each of the items to be safely lifted level, loaded, unloaded and set in place in the field. Working with Gainey’s Concrete was a snap because they totally understand the importance of lifter quantity, lifter placement, balancing loads and internal stresses."

Inertia Block
The Inertia Block Gainey's fabricated for Monsanto was precision personified. The block was designed to support a centrifuge with a custom-designed mounting bracket. This piece had to be manufactured to within a 3/32" tolerance and was the most precise structure Gainey's had made to that point.
14 x 14 Honeywell Structures
When Honeywell sets out to protect the environment, they do it right. This 14' x 14' secondary containment structure was designed and manufactured with 12" walls and custom sloped support beams. As if 12" of 6500PSI concrete wasn't enough for secondary containment, this structure was installed underground with 18" more concrete poured around its perimeter!
OxyChem
Updating a 50-year old tank containment system, while maintaining the system itself is a tall order. Creating and installing the new retaining wall was just one integral part of the project, and Gainey's performed. The entire project was completed 5-days ahead of schedule despite extreme weather, and other complications.
Wastewater Treatment
Country Lakes 70,000 GDP Sewer Treatment Plant
Country Lakes was the first plant Gainey's manufactured and installed to meet the new LUS specifications for sound attenuation (must be quieter than 50 dB) and ease of maintenance. This custom wrap-around sewer treatment plant was also extremely efficient - reducing air and energy requirements by 25% due to the shortened aeration, RAS and WAS return lines.

Breasting Dolphin
The Mississippi River Port Breasting Dolphins was the project that kept Gainey’s on its toes! From casting in 8’2” steel plates with Nelson studs welded in a specific pattern, to flush-cast pipes, this project required great attention to detail. With frequently changing details, it also required updates to both designs and fabrication methods throughout the project. Never a company to shrink from a challenge, Gainey’s completed the project accurately and on time. The final touch on this project was receiving a 2016 NPCA CUP Award in the Underground Category.
UV Disinfection Unit
For the North Thibodaux Wastewater Treatment Plant, Gainey’s was tasked with designing and manufacturing some large municipal structures for their treatment train. One of which was a long and narrow UV Disinfection Channel Structure. With its substantial length and unique flumed design, this structure definitely came with its challenges. However, Gainey’s overcame and manufactured in three sections that were joined together with bolt pockets and an intricate joint recess. The contractor was so pleased with the fit and installation of the structure that he sent pictures of it in place and his thanks!
